Description

A range of outbuildings dating probably from the 18th century is located north-east of Quay Cottage. Originally a granary, the buildings are constructed of flint and brick, with pantile roofs featuring gable ends. The southernmost section now contains a large, modern garage opening on its west side. The northern part is partially roofless and exhibits brick dentil eaves. It has a gabled end facing the road, incorporating a modern oriel window, and ground floor double doors. Modern external stairs lead to a first-floor door on the east side; the building appears to have been used as a summerhouse. A flint cobble boundary wall, likely also from the 18th century and approximately six feet high, runs along The Quay to the north-west of the outbuildings, featuring modern gates. The buildings and wall are included on the list for their group value.
