Description

The boundary wall, likely from the 18th century, extends from the north-west corner of Quay Barn westwards along The Quay and southwards along Westgate Street. It is constructed of flint cobbles and features a ramped brick coping, standing about 10 feet high. At the south-west end, which faces Westgate Street, there is a brick round-arch gateway with a stone keyblock and impost, although this gateway is now blocked. The wall is included for its contribution to the townscape.
