Description
The King's Arms Inn is an 18th-century building located at right angles to Westgate Street in Blakeney. It is constructed from whitewashed flint and brick and features a steep pantile roof with brick coping at the gable ends. The roof displays the initials "F.H. 1760" made from black pantiles. The building has brick dentil eaves and stands two storeys tall. On the first floor, there are three widely spaced two-light casement windows, while the ground floor has three sash windows and a segmental-headed doorway. There are brick chimney stacks at both ends of the building.
At the west end, there is a one-bay wing that is also two storeys but has a lower roof with a flat-roofed dormer and a ground floor sash window. Adjoining the inn to the south-west is a house now used as lavatories, which dates from the early 19th century. This structure is also made of whitewashed flint and brick, has a steep black-glazed pantile roof with gabled ends, and stands two storeys high with two bays. It features sash windows with glazing bars, small modern top-vent windows on the ground floor, and a central segmental-headed doorway.
