Description
Neatishead Mill is a corn mill built in 1812. It features a tarred brick tapering tower topped with a conical aluminium roof and stands four storeys high. There are doors on the east and west sides, and each floor has one casement window that alternates to face the cardinal points, mostly featuring 20th-century iron casements.
Inside, the ground floor contains two pairs of cross trees and a great spur wheel, along with sack meal chutes, hoppers, a sack hoist chain, and belt drives. The first floor has an upright shaft, while the second and third floors are empty. The curb track is intact, and the mill is still in use, now powered by diesel.
