Description
Holme House is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick with a black glazed pantiled roof and stands three storeys high. The building features three bays and has a two-storey rear section. There are two ground floor and three first and second floor sash windows with glazing bars, all set under slightly cambered brick arches. The entrance is highlighted by a pedimented wooden doorcase with fluted pilasters, panelled reveals, and a six-panel door, four panels of which are glazed. Inside, the ground floor has six-panel raised and fielded doors and a central staircase. At the rear, there is a cottage that may be older, built of clunch with brick dressings, featuring red pantiles to the west and a section added around 1939 to the east.
