Description
A row of memorials located 1 to 4 meters south of the nave of the Church of St. John, dating from the mid-18th century, are made of limestone. The group includes two notable headstones: (a) a rectangular stone with a raised segmental top, featuring an inscription panel set within a shouldered architrave, adorned with two single cherub heads; and (b) a rectangular stone with a coved segmental set-back top, where a pair of Ionic columns support a moulded entablature that frames a bowed circular inscription panel. At the top of this stone, there is a representation of a woman with long hair reclining on a skull, serving as a memento mori.
