Description

This is an 18th-century, L-shaped house, known as Dial House, with a barn attached to the north. The house is two stories tall with an attic, and has five windows on its east-facing elevation. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set within flush frames. The construction is a mix of carstone and red brick, topped with a tile roof. A large sundial is positioned on the south gable. There is a small round window in the east gable and a dormer with glazing bars. The barn, also likely 18th century, is constructed of brick with a steep tile roof featuring coped gable ends. It includes a loft door and two probably later gabled dormers, as well as lean-to additions. The house and its outbuildings form a group with the front wall of a nearby bungalow.
