Description

This is a terrace of four houses located on St Peter’s Road in West Lynn. They were built in the late 18th century. The houses are constructed of brick, with number 170 having a pebbledashed and colourwashed exterior. They have pantiled roofs. The terrace is two storeys high, with each house originally featuring two bays. The upper window bay above the entrance is blind. The doorways are topped by round arches; numbers 172 and 176 have panelled doors, while the others have been altered. Each house originally had one horned sash window with glazing bars next to the door on the ground floor, and one above. The exception is number 170, which has a 20th-century casement window on the ground floor. The roofs are gabled, with internal gable-end stacks and a central ridge stack.
