Description
Thornham Methodist Chapel is a chapel dated 1870, constructed of red brick with a facade dressed in gault brick, and pebble flint returns also featuring gault brick dressings. The building has a red pantiled roof and a single-storey, three-bay facade facing the road, with two-bay returns. It features two large and one small arched-headed sash windows, which have bare and coloured margin lights. The central entrance consists of an arched-headed boarded door. The openings are accented with gault brick dressings, and the structure has brick quoins and a dentil eaves cornice. The parapet is battlemented, with a hipped battlemented center that includes a datestone and initials. The hipped roof is situated behind the facade. One return side has two straight-headed sash windows with glazing bars and margin lights. The chapel is included for its group value with the Parish Church.
