Description

This is an 18th-century building on High Street, altered subsequently. It is constructed of brick, now painted, and extends two storeys with an attic. The roof is slate-covered and features two gabled dormers. The facade has a nine-window arrangement, with a slightly projecting central section topped by a pediment above three windows. The central section is distinguished by rusticated quoins. The original glazing bars have been removed from the windows. The main entrance to number 37, formerly a National Provincial Bank, is a door with fielded panels within a pedimented case. Number 39 has a six-panel door and a fanlight above. Numbers 33 to 39, which are odd numbers, form a notable group.
