Description

This is a 16th-century L-shaped house located on Queen Street, King's Lynn. It shares a courtyard with number 29. The building was divided into two separate properties in 1982. The facade is of brown brick, dating to the early 19th century, and it is covered by a pantile roof.

The house is three stories high and has three bays. A doorway is located to the left of the elevation, featuring a panelled door within a timber frame with panelled reveals and pilaster strips topped by an open pediment. Above the door is a semi-circular window. The ground floor has two sash windows, while the first floor has two sash windows separated by a blind window. There are three sash windows on the top floor, all with reduced glazing bars and gauged skewback arches. A painted string course runs along the first floor. There is a gabled roof, and while stacks are not visible externally, they likely share with the neighboring houses. The rear elevation is rendered and colourwashed.

A wing extends from the north end of the house, but was reduced to half its original length in 1982, with the west wall rebuilt using late 20th-century details. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
