Description

The remains of a two-storey south wall from a former warehouse, dating to the 15th century, are located behind No 23 on Queen Street in King's Lynn. The wall is constructed of brick and has no roof. At the east end, there are two blocked four-centred window openings on the first floor and two four-centred doorways on the ground floor; one doorway to the east is blocked, while the other is in use as an arch over a pedestrian way. The south side features two stepped brick buttresses, with the western buttress having a pedestrian passage cut through it. A timber bressumer runs between the buttresses at a high level, though its function is unknown.
