Description

This is a 17th-century barn, altered in the 18th century. It is constructed of brick laid in Flemish bond and has a thatched roof. The west side features a full-height double timber door located centrally. To the right of this door, the walling has an 18th-century outer brick skin, as does the south gable. To the left of the door are three irregularly placed stepped brick buttresses, with two looped ventilation slits between each. The roof is gabled. The north gable has tumbled brickwork at the head and features three looped slit ventilation lights. The 18th-century roof structure includes tie beams, principals, two-tier staggered butt purlins, and collars. Beech Farmhouse is not listed.
