Description
Whitehouse Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1671, located on Hall Road in Hopton-on-Sea. The building is constructed of brick, which is painted on the south and north sides, while the other sides are roughcast. It features a roof made of black glazed pantiles and consists of one storey with a dormer attic. The south facade has four bays. There is a panelled door positioned to the right of centre, which is situated below a six-vaned fanlight. To the right of the door are two mid-19th century horned sash windows, and one sash window is located to the left. All the windows have glazing bars and are topped with gauged skewback arches. The roof is gabled and includes three 20th-century gabled dormers. A ridge stack is located to the left of centre, and there is an internal stack at the east gable end with a rectangular plinth that supports twin circular flues. At the rear, there is a continuous 19th-century outshut beneath a catslide roof, which includes four 20th-century casements and two 20th-century doors.
