Description

This is an early 19th-century Methodist church. The front elevation is red brick, rendered and whitewashed, with a hipped pantile roof. The symmetrical facade has three bays, featuring four sash windows with margin panes set in raised surrounds. A circular window with radiating glazing bars sits centrally on the first floor. The central doorway has two-leaf panelled doors within a semi-circular opening, topped by a portico with a dentilled frieze and Tuscan columns and pilasters. The side walls have sash windows without glazing bars, and a brick dentil eaves course runs along the top. The interior retains original fittings, including a gallery supported by columns and featuring a panelled balustrade.
