Description
The Old Post House is a house dated 1747, located on Norwich Road in Newton St. Faith. The building has undergone significant alterations and features a rendered, ashlared, and whitewashed exterior with a pantile roof. It is two storeys tall, with a later one-storey wing added to the east. The front has four 20th-century windows with glazing bars set in openings that have keystones and architraves. The first-floor openings are likely the original size. The central doorway of the two-storey block has a moulded wooden surround and a canopy supported by console brackets. It features a four-panel door with a rectangular fanlight above. The house has a wooden eaves cornice and parapeted gables with external chimney stacks. At the rear, there is a lean-to with 20th-century casement windows.
