Description
The building is a former stables and coach house, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of gault brick, with the rear wall made of red brick, and features a hipped roof covered in black-glazed pantiles. The structure is two storeys high and has a symmetrical facade with seven bays, where the central three bays are slightly advanced and topped with a pediment.
There are two large double door openings with segmental arched heads, and a central door on the first floor is flanked by blocked windows, all of which have pointed-arched heads. The outer bays also contain pointed-arched openings, with blocked first floor lunettes and one first floor loading door. The left-hand ground floor openings have been altered to include a 20th-century glazed door with a fanlight. The building features brick dentil eaves and a roundel with arms in the pediment. Additionally, there is a central clock tower with a bracketed soffit beneath a lead-covered ogee dome topped with a weathervane finial.
