Description
Church Farm House is a 17th-century farmhouse constructed of brick, flint, and render, topped with a red and black pantiled roof. The building is two storeys high, with a rear range added in the first half of the 19th century. The facade features red brick and has three bays of sash windows with flat gauged brick arches. The doorcase is adorned with reeded pilasters and an entablature. The eaves have a parapet, and the original parapet gables include end chimneys, with a pair of polygonal chimney shafts on the right side. The rear displays render above a flint plinth, and the rear range consists of two builds, the latter featuring a curved gable and glazed brick headers. The windows are a mix of sash types, with one blocked mullioned and transom window. There are single-storey 18th-century additions, one to the west with glazed headers and another to the east made of flint with brick dressings. To the right of the facade is a brick wall with glazed headers, containing a blocked door and two blocked windows with flat gauged brick arches. A garden wall with wrought iron railings is located to the right, curving left into the farmyard, and there is a flint garden wall separating the kitchen garden from the Old Rectory.
