Description
The Lodge to Stratton Strawless Hall is a former lodge house dating from around 1800. It is constructed of colourwashed brick and features slate roofs that are hipped on the side wings. The building has a T-shaped plan, consisting of a two-storey central block flanked by one-and-a-half-storey wings. The facade is symmetrical, with semi-circular headed ground floor openings, some of which are blank. The central bay is slightly advanced and has a pediment above it. Two massive Tuscan columns are recessed under the pediment, flanking the central window openings, and there is a blank lunette in the tympanum of the pediment. A chimney stack is located on the ridge line.
