Description
The boundary walls, gates, and gate piers to Oxnead Hall date from around 1600 and are located on the north-west side of the hall. They are constructed of red brick and feature coped walls with recessed openings under elliptical arches. Adjoining the north gateway are two small pavilions that are semi-octagonal in shape and have plain-tiled roofs. The structure includes brick dentil eaves and plain brick pilasters on the garden front, with door openings that have segmental heads. There are also two square piers that are symmetrically placed in line with the pavilions to the south, topped with pineapple-shaped finials. This structure is included for its group value with Oxnead Hall.
