Description

This is an 18th-century barn situated immediately south-east of Buxton Lodge. Constructed of red brick, it has a pantile roof and likely comprises two phases of building. The barn is a 5-bay structure, featuring two waggon entrances, each with a double door. The roof is characterized by two tiers of butt-purlins, and straight wind bracing is visible on the upper purlin. Inside, tie beams have arch braces and wall posts, and ventilation loops are largely blocked. The barn is listed for its group value in conjunction with Buxton Lodge.
