Description

This is an 18th-century water mill, later converted, located in Buxton with Lammas Mill Street. The mill is primarily timber-framed with weatherboarding on the front elevation, which is colourwashed brick. It has a pantiled roof and stands four storeys high. The windows are a mix of centre-pivot windows and fixed lights, many with glazing bars. Door openings are present at both the ground and first floor levels. The west facade features three gables clad in weatherboard. An early 20th-century turbine remains within the mill. Adjoining one and two-storey ranges on the north and south sides are not considered to be of particular architectural interest.
