Description
Crown Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century, with two gabled extensions added to the north side in the early 19th century. The building is constructed of flint and red brick, topped with pantiled roofs.
The south front is two stories high and features a four-window range. To the right of the center, there is a half-glazed door from the early 20th century, which is sheltered by a hood. The ground floor has three unhorned sash windows with six panes over six, while the first floor has three unhorned sash windows with three panes over six, plus one unhorned sash window with four panes over eight in the right-hand bay. A dentil eaves cornice runs along the top. The roof is gabled, with an internal gable-end stack on the west side.
To the north, there is a two-story wing with a two-window range. This wing has a six-flush-panelled door to the left and a four-pane over eight unhorned sash window to the right. The first floor contains one unhorned sash window with two panes over four and another with three panes over six. The roof of this wing is also gabled, featuring a ridge stack positioned to the right of center. The interior has not been inspected.
