Description

This property, comprising numbers 35A, 36, and 37 Old Beccles Gate, dates to the 17th and 18th centuries and has undergone alterations since its original construction. It is a two-story building with attics, topped by a steep roof featuring dormers that have been filled in. Most of the first-floor windows are mullion-transom wood casements, with one or two windows per floor. The exterior is finished with roughcast rendering, and the roof is covered in pantiles. The entrance doors are flush-frame.

At the rear, a separate house is rendered and stands two stories tall, with three flush-frame sash windows, featuring glazing bars, on each floor. A wood Doric pedimented hood protects a glazed entrance door, with pantiles matching the roof.

The property is situated within a group of buildings around St Nicholas Church on Church Street.
