Description
Church Cottage is an early 19th-century house constructed of red brick with a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and features a two-window range. On the west elevation, there is a panelled door to the right, which is sheltered by a gabled hood. To the left of the door, there is a 6/6 unhorned sash window set under a gauged skewback arch. The first floor has two similar sash windows. A partly external stack is located at the north gable end, and there is a two-storey outshut attached to the north side. The east return has a 20th-century half-glazed door beneath a two-light 20th-century casement window, with additional two-light casements on the north and west returns. The eaves feature a dentil cornice.
Inside, the ground floor includes a boxed bridging beam and one two-panelled door. There is a blocked winder staircase by the stack, with 20th-century stairs currently in use. The cottage has group value with Church House.
