Description

St Withburga's Well, located in the churchyard of St Nicholas Church, is a medieval well featuring a tombstone with a carved cross. The well is enclosed by flint retaining walls on three sides and has a rectangular shape that extends partly under the east wall. Below the flint, there are two ring brick arches, and the structure is topped with a stone cope.
