Description
The Entrance Lodge to Kilverstone Hall is a lodge built in 1906, likely designed by Boardman. It is constructed of whitewashed brick and features a tiled roof. The building has one storey and an attic, with timber mullioned windows on the ground floor, all of which are casements. It has a steep pyramid roof and a pair of flat dormers that enclose a hooded frieze panel decorated with a coat of arms. There is a tall double brick stack at the apex of the roof and a second stack over the kitchen wing.
The north wall of the lodge is part of a curved gateway that includes central entrance gates positioned between square brick piers topped with moulded stepped finials. To the left, there are three reversed arches that end in a ball-topped pier. To the right, there is a round-headed pedestrian doorway and two small windows flanking a central canted bay. The curved and stepped walling concludes with a ball-topped pier on the right.
