Description

The Old Grammar School is a building that has been converted into dwellings. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of gault brick with gabled slate roofs. The building has a complex plan and consists of two storeys with a dormer attic. The east range of the central block features two gabled porches that have elaborate bargeboards. There are numerous casement windows positioned under rendered skewback arches, arranged in no particular order. Gabled dormers are present in all ranges, along with regular ridge stacks. The building is included for its group value.
