Description
The railings and piers at the driveway entrance to Clermont Hall date from the early 19th century. They are made of iron and rendered brick. There are two lengths of railings, which have an ogee shape in plan, each positioned between two square-section piers. The railings are mounted on low masonry plinths and feature square rails with spearhead terminals and arrowhead dog rails. The sections of railing next to the piers are more elaborate, incorporating scrolls and overthrows. The piers themselves have moulded cornices and plinths.
