Description
Miller's House is a former miller's residence, primarily built in the early 19th century, but it retains some features from an earlier structure. The building is constructed from flint and some limestone rubble with brick dressings, except for the facade, which is mainly brick. It has a black and red pantile roof and a continuous outshut at the rear. The house is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-bay facade featuring sash windows that have single vertical glazing bars. The ground floor windows have rough skewback arches, while the upper windows are topped with painted wooden lintels. The central window on the first floor is blind, and there is a panelled door at the front. The lower part of the facade is made of flint and rubble with brick dressings, and the date 1767 is scratched onto a piece of limestone rubble. The roof is hipped with plain paired brackets at the eaves and has a central stack. The outshut has a catslide roof with a stack at each end. This building is included for its group value only.
