Description

This is a free-standing arch located 8 meters north-east of Blo' Norton Hall, dating from 1564. It is constructed of partly plastered rubbed brick and features two square piers that flank a four-centred arch. The arch has a hollow and wave moulded design with a panelled intrados beneath a square hood. The spandrels contain cusped fretted panels. A fluted frieze supports a square finial, which bears the inscription "1564" between swept overthrows.
