Description

Hampton House is an early 18th-century cottage situated on The Street in Blo’ Norton. It is timber framed with rendered and colourwashed wattle and daub infill, and has a thatched roof. The building is arranged in an L-shaped plan. It is a single storey in height with a dormer attic. A door is located to the left of centre, and a late 18th-century French window is to the right. The roof has two gabled dormers, each with a casement window. A ridge stack is located to the right. An external stack dominates the cross wing to the north, which also has two gabled dormers to the east and west, all rebuilt in 1983.
