Description
Whitehouse Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century and later. It is constructed with a timber frame, featuring rendered wattle and daub infill, and gault brick. The building has a thatched roof and is designed in an L shape. The south gable wall was refaced in brick in the 20th century and has been refenestrated. There is a pantiled outshut to the west, which includes a 17th-century external stepped stack that is gabled back to the roof slope, with the flue rebuilt in the 20th century. The roof is gabled. The north cross wing has an early 18th-century timber doorcase with a flat hood and a panelled door. There are four 18th-century casements with glazing bars and an external chimney stack on the east side.
