Description

The Old Queen's Head is a late 17th-century public house, now a private dwelling, located on Attleborough Road in Great Ellingham. The building is timber framed and sits on a flint plinth, with rendered wattle and daub infill panels. It has a thatched gabled roof and a lobby entrance plan. The building is one storey in height, with a dormer attic. A central door is flanked by single three-light vertically mullioned casement windows to the left and right. There is an eaves line dormer with a sloping pantiled roof. A ridge stack is positioned over the door. Internally, each downstairs room has a fireplace. The walls retain wall studs with braces.
