Description
Carol House is a farmhouse dated 1730, constructed of red brick laid in English bond, with a roof covered in corrugated concrete tiles. The building has two storeys and a dormer attic, featuring a three-window range. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed 20th-century door beneath a five-vaned fanlight, framed by a timber doorcase with a hood. The windows are all late 20th-century, with tripartite sash windows on either side of the door and repeated on the first floor, along with a 2/2 unhorned sash window positioned between them. The gabled roof includes one late 20th-century flat-topped dormer fitted with a two-light casement and three roof-lights. There are internal gable-end stacks on both the east and west sides. The west gable displays a date plaque reading "PL 1730." A full-length, two-storey outshut was added to the rear in the late 18th century, featuring late 20th-century details. The interior has not been inspected.
