Description
Pearce's Farmhouse is a house dating from the mid-17th century, with alterations made in the late 20th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and wattle and daub infill, while the ground floor is now clad in stone. The roof is covered with pantiles and features two storeys plus an attic. Most architectural details, except for the exposed framing on the first floor, are from the late 20th century. The house has a gabled roof with a ridge stack located to the left of centre and an external gable on the north side.
Inside, the interior showcases tongue and chamfer-stopped bridging beams and joists. The lounge includes a sunk quadrant bridging beam, and there is a spine beam supported by ties on the first floor. The roof structure consists of tie beams (which once had arched braces), clasped purlins, collars, and arched windbracing.
