Description

Yew Tree Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse, with later alterations. It is constructed of brick, incorporating a chequered pattern, and has a modern roof of concrete tiles. The original design comprised eight bays, now with modern two-light mullion and transom windows. Skewback arches are visible to the ground-floor openings. The front door is a 19th-century panelled design, with a simple reeded doorcase. A platband runs around the building. Chimneys are situated in the gable ends, with the southern stack corbelled out from the first-floor level. Six windows are blocked on the west gable end, while two are open and two are blocked on the east. Metal tie-ends in the west gable display the initials "I.A." A gabled stair outshut is located to the rear, featuring tumbled-in brickwork.
