Description

Frogs Abode is an early 18th-century cottage located in Scoulton, on The Street. The building is timber framed with rendered clay lump and colourwashed brick infill, and has a thatched roof. It is two storeys high. A door is located to the left of centre, with casement windows to the right and left, and two casement windows under the eaves. The north gable wall has been rebuilt in brick, whilst the south gable wall features casement windows and a door. Deep eaves overhang the gabled roof, and the internal gable stacks have been rebuilt. The interior retains complete timber framing, and the roof features tie beams with arched braces, two tiers of staggered butt purlins and collars.
