Description

The statue of the Third Marquess of Salisbury is a Grade II listed bronze seated statue of Robert Arthur Talbot, who lived from 1830 to 1903 and served as Prime Minister of Great Britain three times. It was created by G. Frampton R.A. in 1906. The statue is mounted on a stone base that is approximately two and a half metres high. The west side of the base features a projecting centre with the Salisbury coat of arms and an inscription. Additionally, there is a frieze adorned with carved leaf ornament.
