Description

No. 40 Park Street is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century. It features a chequered red brick front and likely has an earlier core. The roof is gable-ended and covered with plain tiles, and there is an external chimney stack on the left side, which is probably from the 17th century in its lower half. The building has two storeys and includes four ground floor glazing-bar casements. In the centre, there is a 19th-century door with a latticed porch. A floor band runs along the building, and there are three similar casements on the first floor. To the left, there is a single-storey lean-to added in the 19th century.
