Description

Ludwick Corner is a house designed by Sir Ernest Newton in 1907. It is a symmetrical two-storey building, with rough rendered walls and a tiled roof featuring three groups of stacks, the outer flues set diagonally. The ends of the building project with gables, featuring carved bargeboards and a circular motif rendered in cement. The projecting end sections have two-storey shallow bay windows with wooden mullions to casements, incorporating leaded lights. The central section has three windows with four lights each on the first floor. The ground floor has two outer windows of four lights, and two inner circular windows. A porch with a segmental pediment, featuring Roman Ionic capitals on plain columns, provides access to a half-glazed door with leaded flanking lights. The building has since been converted into flats.
