Description

Bush Hall House is a former mill house, dating from the early 19th century. Constructed of red brick with a plain tile hipped roof punctuated by centre stacks on both the left and right sides, it stands three storeys high. The front elevation features three sash windows with flush wooden frames set within cambered heads. A central flush panel door, topped with a flat hood supported by fluted brackets and flanked by panel pilasters, provides entry. The north elevation incorporates a three-storey bay window, alongside some blank windows, and a mid-19th century ground floor porch. A rear extension and a single-storey outbuilding, both dating from the mid-19th century, are located on the south side. Early 19th-century iron bars are present below the sills of the north elevation windows, originally intended as strengtheners.
