Description
Attimore Hall has origins dating back to the 17th century and underwent significant alterations in the late 18th century or early 19th century. The building is two storeys high and features rough rendering with an early 19th-century slate roof, which has stacks at the gable ends that may be partly original. There are remnants of a band between the storeys. Flanking a central window above a modern door are two rectangular bays from the 19th century, each two storeys tall. The doorway is reeded and has shaped brackets supporting the hood, with similar reeding found on the interior doors. Inside, there is an 18th-century staircase with thin column newels, and the ground floor rooms retain 17th-century ceiling beams. Notable features include an inglenook fireplace and another fireplace that has a cast iron fireback.
