Description
Flint Cottage is a farmhouse that was previously listed as Hornet Hall Farmhouse. It has a core that dates back to the 17th century or earlier, constructed from timber framing. The exterior features late 19th-century facing made of flint and yellow stock brick, topped with plain tile roofs. The building forms part of a tripartite group, with the right side showcasing small and large gable ends from a cross wing. The east wall of the wing is made of 17th-century brick and timber frame. A 17th-century red brick stack is located on the ridge at the center of the entire range. The front has four segmental-headed windows, which are three-light glazing bar casements with brick dressings and banding. There is a lower unit at the left end, and the rear is weatherboarded.
