Description
The Ice House at North Mymms Park is an 18th-century structure that was restored in the 19th and 20th centuries. It features a half-sunken domed chamber with the entrance facing northwest. The front elevation includes a central red brick wall with a segmental-headed door. On either side, there is rustic walling made of flint, brick, and rubble, designed to imitate a grotto. Inside, there is a square barrel-vaulted vestibule leading to the chamber, which has a pointed arch opening framed by a moulded wooden frame from the 18th century.
