Description
The Unicorn Public House is a public house that dates back to the 17th century, with possible earlier origins. It was extended in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is likely timber-framed and is rendered, featuring tiled roofs. It has two storeys and consists of three bays from two early builds. The two bays on the right have a central entrance flanked by large three-light casements, all set within an early 20th-century corniced projection. The first floor has two small horizontal sliding sashes. The single bay on the left features a ground floor canted bay and a first floor 12-pane horizontal sliding sash. Both gable ends have external stacks with offsets and rebuilt caps, and there is a lean-to oven projection at the rear right. A continuous lean-to outshut at the back of the two right bays has been incorporated into the 19th and 20th-century wings added to the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
