Description
This barn, located about 20 meters southwest of the Church of the Holy Cross, dates from the 18th century or early 19th century. It features a timber frame resting on a brick base and is weatherboarded with a tiled roof. The structure consists of six bays and includes two gabled midstreys in bays two and five on the southeast side, with lean-to links at the midstreys. The bay closest to the church has an extension that is at a right angle, featuring a stock brick rear wall marked with 'SC 1873' facing the churchyard. The barn has an open front. Inside, there are straight braces from lightly jowled posts to tie beams, and angled struts clasp the purlins. The barn is included for its group value.
