Description

The Old Bury is a late 15th or early 16th century house located on the north side of Rectory Lane. It features timber framing and was originally designed with an open central hall. The west wing is original, while the east wing dates from the late 16th century. The timber frame is concealed behind plaster, and the house has a tiled roof with cross gables at either end and a small central gable. It is two storeys high, with three rush windows on the first floor and late 19th or early 20th century bay windows on the ground floor. There is a closed porch to the right of the centre and early plain red brick chimney stacks.
