Description

No. 30 High Street is a house dating from the late 18th century, which was refashioned in the mid to late 19th century and features a mid 19th-century extension at the west end. The building is constructed of red brick with yellow brick dressings and has a plain tile hipped roof. It has later 19th-century brick modillion eaves. The house is two storeys high and has a two-window front facing High Street, with first-floor sash windows set in plain painted architraves that include keyblocks. The south return has similar windows arranged over five bays. The mid 19th-century large corner shop front features pilasters and an entablature. On the south side, there are two round arched doorways, also with keyblocks.
