Description

Nos 40 and 42 on High Street are a late 18th-century building with a red brick front that conceals an earlier structure. The building features a steeply pitched hipped roof, which is partly hidden by a stone-coped parapet. It has two storeys and five widely spaced sash windows, each with vertical glazing bars, set beneath flat arches made of cut brick. The ground floor has projecting shop fronts that date from the 19th century.
